V is for VENTURE

We move forward despite uncertainty because we are certain of the Promise.

This word is at the heart of our new name "Frontier Ventures." Its meaning is rooted in the purpose that God has bound himself by oath (Heb 6:13-17) to fulfill his ancient Promise (Gen 12:1-3). By faith we become participants with the Person of this Promise in seeing the revelation of Jesus made known (experientially) in word and deed among every people group on the face of the earth. By faith we bring what is not yet seen into reality. "Frontier" Ventures make real what is yet to be fulfilled among peoples where the gospel has not taken root. We celebrate the reality of what is coming in the present.

These ventures are often costly. They involve risk. We need hearts and souls—facing these risks—rooted and anchored in the oath of the unchanging Person and his unshakable kingdom (Heb 6:19, 12:28). He said, "He who loses his life for me and for the gospel will save it" (Mk 8:33b). We lose our life in these ventures and end up finding it! We explore beyond what is. We go where others might not go. We attempt, we expect—in faith—what seems impossible. But He who Promised is faithful. Let us not faint or shrink back, but venture out until His Day comes among all peoples. It will be a glorious Day.
