Mobilizing the Body of Christ to engage with the character and purpose of God through Perspectives.
Adam serves as the Perspectives Eastern Executive Mobilization Officer, participating in the executive team's responsibilities to steward the organizational direction and movement as a whole. Adam oversees the eight Regional Directors of the Eastern Section. Melissa is part of the team currently revamping the design and experience of the primary volunteer training, the Perspectives Coordinator Workshops.
We operate as a team with Perspectives USA, homeschooling, church and mission ministries. Adam serves as an elder/lay pastor for the Summit Church – Garner Campus.
The Journey:
We took Perspectives for the first time together in 2005 when God began speaking to us about full time ministry. We became coordinators with Perspectives, started raising support, and in 2008 moved to Pasadena, CA to join the staff of the US Center for World Mission, now called Frontier Ventures. Our first assignment was with the INSIGHT program, a college level educational program focused on mobilizing students. While in Pasadena we grew in faith, knowledge, and leadership. We always hoped we would come back to the Southeast to work in mobilizing the church here. During our six years there we stayed involved with Perspectives as coordinators and instructors. In 2014 we were invited to join Perspectives staff and became the Southeast Regional Directors. This new role brought us full circle, living back in NC and mobilizing with Perspectives. In 2018 there was more transition as Perspectives redesigned its organizational structure and Adam was asked to define and pioneer the role that would become the Executive Mobilization Officer. It was at this time that Melissa moved to her training role.
